First Line Friday – Beauty Among Ruins

Happy Friday everyone! Is it Spring Break where you live? The kids and I worked ahead in their school this week so yesterday was our official first day of Spring Break and we have all next week off too…And I’m so excited! (So are they hehe) We celebrated by going to the public library and stoking up on all the books. I’m so glad they love reading as much as I do! 🙂 Today’s first line comes from one of my March reads and let me just tell you….Amazing story! Scotland, Beauty and the Beast vibes, romance…Oh yes, highly recommend!

My First Line:

Creeping through the back door, Lily Durham slipped across the black-and-white tiled kitchen and checked the hallway before scurrying up the stairs to the main floor.
