The first inkling Miss Temperance Flowerdew had that her rather mundane day was about to turn anything but mundane happened when a closed carriage trundled up beside her, keeping pace with her every step as she walked down the sidewalk adjacent to Broadway.
Don’t you just love that heroine’s name? Temperance Flowerdew. I like saying it out loud lol. Jen Turano has the best character names.

Jen’s book covers are sooo pretty! I really need to read them.
My first line comes from book three in my Cliff Walk Courtships inspirational historical romance series, Treasure of Hope, which releases at the end of October:

I finally found you! I have been wondering who was hosting the First Line Friday!!! Thanks to Book By Book I found you. This book looks great it has some mystery which is the genre that I read in. I hope not to much romance, I’m not one for too much of it!
